A business in Dallas County is helping out law enforcement this holiday season to spread joy to children.

Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center made a $600 donation to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Benevolent Association to go towards their Shop With a Cop program. Life Enrichment Coordinator Diane Watts says it was the first time the organization gave money to this program as a way to thank the sheriff’s office for their support.

“They have always brought their cars over for a fundraiser, or car parade, and so we’re having a yard sale and felt like that’s what we needed to do was to make a donation for the sheriff for their Shop With a Cop (program).”

The donation was presented to Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante and Sergeant Ray Dirksen. To contribute with a donation, contact the Dallas County Sheriff’s Benevolent Association at (515)-993-4771 or visit https://www.dallascountyiowa.gov/307/Benevolent-Association.
