A Scranton man was recently arrested for an alleged September incident.
According to court documents, a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call of an assault in the 200 block of 6th Street in Grand Junction at 10:33pm on September 25th. During the investigation, court documents show that the victim stated that he and another individual were in a garage of his residence when a vehicle pulled up to the property, after the victim and others were at another home in Grand Junction earlier that night when the same vehicle was seen pulling up to that same group and the driver, Josh Blumberg, was yelling at them and squealing the tires.
Court documents show that 22 year old Jessie Sanders of Scranton walked out of the vehicle and toward the victim, as the victim was walking toward his house. The victim told the deputy he was trying to get to an object near the front door of the home to defend himself with and that’s when Sanders hit him in the jaw. The victim was told to go to the Greene County Medical Center for treatment and was later advised he had a fractured jaw.
The deputy was unable to locate Sanders that night and a warrant was issued for his arrest, charging him with a Class C Felony for willful injury-causing serious injury and a serious misdemeanor for trespass-injury or damage greater than $300. Sanders was arrested on November 8th and was booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
