There is a meeting tomorrow to try and revitalize the Friends of Springbrook State Park.
Iowa Department of Natural Resources Interpretive Naturalist and Educator Anne Riordan says that she and other park staff are holding the meeting at 6pm for a planning session to work on Springbrook’s support system. She mentions that they want anyone that’s interested to come and share their ideas, ask questions and voice their visions and enthusiasm they may have for the park.
Riordan shares that Springbrook Volunteer Coordinator Mary Runkel, DNR Natural Tech 1 Reaghan Oakleaf, and Springbrook State Park Manager Josh Peach will be with her, and they are all looking forward to hearing from those that attend. She adds that they ask that those interested please contact Oakleaf at 641-747-3591 so that they know how many to expect, and how many seasonal snacks to have on hand.
