The Adel Public Library is welcoming in Dallas County Iowa State University Extension for an event involving legos.

Dallas County Extension is hosting a Brick Building League for second through fourth grade students next Tuesday, November 12th from 4-5pm. According to Extension Youth Outreach Educator Kathy Rottinghaus, students will be engaged with creating a creature using lego pieces. She offers that guests will receive a QR Code that will allow their names to be put in a drawing for a prize. Rottinghaus explains the reasoning for incentive.

“It is something that we thought would be super fun, a way to interact, even in take-home kits and find out what everybody enjoys doing, and it’s something to be grateful for.”

She notes that winners will be announced at the end of every month, with November’s winners planned for the week leading into Thanksgiving. More information can be found by contacting the Dallas County ISU Extension Office at (515)-993-4281.
