The 2024 National FFA Convention was held from October 23rd to 26th, and Panorama FFA Members were able to attend.
Member Maddie Carstens says that they had several things that they did, both at the convention and outside of it. She shares some of those with Raccoon Valley Radio.
“So we visited a couple of places like Kinze (Manufacturing) and Caterpillar and John Deere, and then we went to the actual convention, which was in Indiana, and then we just visited a couple more places.”
The members all had some favorite things that they did, whether it was the tours at John Deere or Kinze, or different parts of the actual convention. Member Cody Kastner had a different favorite part of the trip though.
“I’d say probably getting to experience it with my chapter. That was pretty cool.”
Many upperclassmen in the Chapter went, but a few underclassmen were able to go as well. Member Danica Isom is one of those underclassmen, and shares some advice for other Chapter members that didn’t have the chance to attend this time, but would like to go to the National Convention in the future.
“They should definitely go, and eventually they will get a chance, and it’s a lot of fun and you learn a lot.”
There were eight members of the Panorama FFA Chapter that participated in this year’s National Convention, along with Advisor Steven Hameister.
