Four Greene County senior volleyball players received recognition from the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. None of the league’s nine teams advanced to the State Tournament, which is taking place this week.
Hitter Emma Shipley was named to the nine person first All-Conference team while Setter Violet Reedy was a second team selection with all-around players Emma Ewalt and Payton Kokenge being named to the honorable mention list.
The Rams went 5-3 in the conference and 12-17 overall. Roland-Story (Story City) won the conference title with Nevada finishing second, followed by West Marshall (State Center), and then the Rams. There are nine teams in the HOIAC.
