The Perry football season has concluded and today we’re taking a look at the defense. The Bluejays surrendered 341 points on the season. That was an average of nearly 38 ppg. The defense had their best game of the season as they held Ogden to 6 points in a week 3 victory over the Bulldogs. Jorge Ramirez was the straw that stirred the drink for Perry. The senior linebacker had a team high 3 sacks and 58 tackles. As a squad, Perry picked off 2 passes in the 9 games and caused 3 fumbles. The defense scored 1 TD’s as they returned a fumble in the week 1 win over Des Moines Hoover. The Bluejays will graduate their top three leading tacklers from last season Jorge Ramirez, Eric Lagos, and Alec Burgin.
