The Perry Chamber recently held its annual Spooktacular event, which had a good turnout of kids.
The chamber invited children and families to trick or treat in the downtown area on 2nd Street on October 25th. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the event drew 1,403 kids and 1,014 adults. She was truly amazed to see so many people enjoying themselves.
“It’s pretty amazing because the downtown feels full but you really have a hard time deciphering like just how many people are downtown, so it took quite a while just to even walk through. So I appreciate people coming out and filling the downtown and putting eyes on the downtown businesses.”
Pasutti extends her gratitude towards the 51 businesses that participated in the festivities by giving away candy, treats, erasers, pencils, and books, as well as other goodies. She adds that most of the kids were dressed up in costumes with some families that had coordinated costumes.
