Dallas County witnessed heavy rain along with thunder in the early afternoon hours on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service reported severe thunderstorms located along a line from Dallas Center to near DeSoto at approximately 1:48pm. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team took to the airwaves around 1:50pm when from the National Weather Service. The weather moved its way to the City of Perry, pouring down significant rain with some flooding in town. During the coverage, Weatherology Meteorologist Ray Miller predicts that more severe thunderstorms will hit Dallas County in the late afternoon to evening hours.
There were also three RVR employees assisting with the coverage. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team provides live coverage of severe thunderstorm or tornado warnings for Dallas, Greene, and Guthrie counties until the storms move out of the coverage area or drop below severe levels.
