The 2024 high school volleyball season is over for the Paton-Churdan Rockets. Coach Makayla Sparr told Raccoon Valley Radio she was pleased with the progress her young squad made. The Rockets went 3-13 after winning just a single set in 2023.

Still a young team with Grace Cullum the only senior, the coach said she looks forward to 2025. “Overall, we improved with three wins and more set wins than last season. Our confidence grew and we really saw improvement. With just the one senior, we are looking forward to next season.” She added a fairly large number of current eighth graders could be joining the high school program, allowing for more depth.
