With Halloween around the corner, it’s that time of year where children and families go out to celebrate the holiday by Trick-or-Treating.

This evening Guthrie County residents can enjoy the second night of Main Street Guthrie Center’s Haunted House, from 7-11pm at 302 Prairie Street in Guthrie Center. Tomorrow the Yale Saddle Club will be hosting their Annual Children’s Halloween Festival from 2-5pm at the Yale Community Building. The event is free and open to the public, with every child able to decorate and take home a pumpkin, along with many games and a free hot dog meal. There will also be two Trunk or Treat opportunities tomorrow in Casey from 4-5pm and in Jamaica from 3-5pm.

Then, on Halloween Eve, Yale will have its Beggars Night from 5-7pm, while in Panora it will take place on the square in the business district from 5-6pm and in residential areas from 6-8pm. Beggars Night continues on Halloween in Adair and Bayard from 5-7pm, along with the business district in Guthrie Center from 5-6pm and the residential area from 6-8pm, and in Bagley beginning at 5pm. Additionally, New Homestead in Guthrie Center is hosting a Trunk or Treat from 5-7pm, and the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center will have their Li-Boo-ary Bash from 5-7:15pm. Stuart’s Beggars Night will also be on Halloween, starting in the business district from 5-6:30pm, and in residential areas from 6-8pm.
