Tomorrow the Greene County High School cross-country runners go to Red Oak for a Class 2A State Qualifying Meet. Friday’s Class 2A football playoff first round game involving Greene County is at Clarinda vs. the host Cardinals. Both teams will be traveling more than 100 miles one way to the Southwest corner of Iowa. Red Oak is in Montgomery County and Clarinda is located in Page County. it’s rare for the Rams to go to SW Iowa for these two postseason events, especially just over 24 hours apart.

At stake for the Rams in cross-country is State Meet qualification, both individually and for the team. In football, this is the round of 32 and a win means a trip to the round of 16.
