The City of Perry is currently in the midst of doing construction on a road that will last the remainder of this week.

A press release from the city states that the intersection of 6th Street and Otley Avenue is closed to the public as Perry Public Works is working to reconstruct the area with new concrete. According to Perry Public Works Director Josh Wuebker, paving was done about 20 years ago but is now failing, so the intersection is in need of a transformation. He elaborates that the department will be placing a significant amount of approximately 70 yards of concrete.

The road is planning to be reopened on Friday, weather permitting. Drivers are asked to obey traffic barricades and speeding zones. More information can be obtained by calling Perry City Hall at (515)-465-2481.
