The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football team is coming off an exciting 35-31 victory over Indianola this past Friday, as Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch credits the defense for having timely stops.

Although the game was an offensive showcase, the Tigers defense was able to force four interceptions on Indians Junior Quarterback Asher Brueck, including a pick six from Senior Jonathan Hatchitt to give ADM the go-ahead 35-31 lead. Winkowitsch reveals that he thought the game would be lower scoring, but describes the turnover was pivotal at that junction in the game.

“That was exactly what we needed at that moment, and unfortunately there at the end, we just couldn’t knock that clock out, but again we just put it in the hands of our defense and made a decision to punt it down there, and they did a tremendous job.”

Hatchitt gathered two interceptions in the game, along with Senior Talon Harvey and Junior Jackson Pitzen. The Tigers are now 7-1 on the season as they head to Alleman on Friday to face off against number one seeded North Polk (8-0). Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6pm with the game set to kick off at 7pm. Tickets for the game can be obtained here.
