The dream of heading state bound stays alive for the Panorama Panthers as the Panther volleyball team hosted and defeated the Pocahontas Area Indians 3-2 in the first round of Class 2A Region 6 action. The Panthers came out of the gates hot and motivated, claiming victory in the first set 28-26. Pocahontas Area would not be denied in the second set however, bringing the match to 1-1 after claiming a 25-21 victory. The Indians would keep the momentum in the third set as well, defeating Panorama 25-21 again. Now with a 2-1 advantage, Panorama would take over, claiming their own 25-21 victory in the fourth set, and a final 15-9 victory to claim a 3-2 victory over Pocahontas Area.

The Panther volleyball team now sits at 11-11 and prepare to travel to Grundy Center High School to take on the Spartans tomorrow night. The action is set to begin at 7pm.
