Winter sports are set to begin in a couple of weeks as fall sports begin postseason play.  Perry girls wrestling expects to return everyone from last year’s squad.  The Jayettes had a great offseason of workouts says Head Coach TJ Maylum.  “Went to a team camp in Wartburg and so all of the girls got an opportunity to go to that for free stay in the dorms it was wonderful camp meals all paid for and in for you know some of our girls that’s the first time they’ve ever gotten to go to like a it’s like that have been 350 dollars per person.  Slight flex, we actually won that tournament.”

A large chunk of that money came from the Ankeny wrestling program that gave Perry a check of almost $900 at Districts.  Practices are allowed to begin November 4th for girls wrestling.
