Paton-Churdan hosted Madrid in a Class 1A Region 5 first round volleyball match in Churdan on Monday night. Coach Makayla Sparr’s Rockets lost in four sets by scores of 14-25, 25-23, 17-25, 26-28. Madrid advances with a 2-22 record while the season ends for the Rockets at 3-13.

The coach told Raccoon Valley Radio junior Ella Tasler led the team in digs with 12 and junior Mia Russell was the team leader in kills with 10.

Grace Cullum is the lone senior on the team, so a still rather young, but more experienced group of players is expected next season.
