A fun event benefiting a good cause is happening tomorrow with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

The second annual Cruise for a Cause celebration starts at the sheriff’s office, 28985 Thin Blue Line Lane, in Adel and ends at Hanging Rock Park, 416 Redfield Street, in Redfield. Dallas County Deputy Ray Dirksen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that people will meet at the sheriff’s office at 10am, then the cruise will begin at approximately 10:20am. He outlines that the goal is to stop by retirement homes, and this year, locations include Dallas Center, Adel, and Redfield. Dirksen specifies that at the end of the ride at Hanging Rock Park there will be photo opportunities available. 

He says that 36 cars were apart of the inaugural Cruise for a Cause event last year, and is hopeful that close to 50 cars will be there this year. Dirksen anticipates the event to last one hour and that a free will donation is going to be set up with the proceeds going to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Benevolent Association’s Shop with a Cop program.
