The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

The board approved a resolution for the City of Perry to abate real estate taxes in the amount of $3,360. The only other item on the agenda that was approved pertained to a sheriff’s office vehicle purchase request for a 2024 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor for $45,535. 

Items that were discussed during the meeting include getting departments moved into the new administration building prior to November, an update from the Emergency Medical Services Office about an ambulance replacement, as well as highlighting remaining funds for the American Rescue Plan Act and the board is still deciding on the next steps relating to the Tyson Foods Pork Plant vacant building in Perry.
