The Paton-Churdan Rockets played non-conference volleyball last night in Colo vs. Colo-NESCO with the Rockets winning in four sets. P-C broke a nine match losing streak and improved to 3-9 on the season while the Royals fell to 3-13.  Scores were 23-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.

Coach Makayla Sparr told Raccoon Valley Radio junior Mia Russell led the Rockets with 12 kills and 15 digs. Senior Grace Cullum led P-C in assists with 12 and sophomore Alivya Smith was the team leader in ace serves with five.

All that remains on the schedule for the Rockets is the Rolling Valley Activities Conference tournament on Saturday, followed by the Class 1A postseason starting Monday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in Churdan vs. Madrid.
