It was an exciting night for Dallas Center-Grimes Mustang volleyball last night as the now 20-18 Mustangs defeated the #9 ranked Pella Christian Eagles 3-1. Before the contest, the Mustangs recognized the seniors on the squad. The Mustangs had a dominant outing during the first set, vanquishing the Eagles 25-14. Pella Christian would wake up in the second set and shift the momentum towards their favor, defeating the Mustangs 25-17. Dallas Center-Grimes would claim the momentum again in the third set, defeating the Eagles with the same score as the second set, 25-17. In the final set, the Eagles would carry the lead for most of the set, but the Mustangs would come back to upset and defeat the Eagles 26-24 in the final set to claim a 3-1 victory over Pella Christian.

This is the final contest for the Mustangs this week. Class 4A Region 4 volleyball action begins on Tuesday, October 22nd as the Mustangs host the 10-14 Gilbert Tigers. The regional volleyball action is set to begin at 7pm.
