Greene County lost a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference volleyball match in Jefferson on Monday night to league champion Roland-Story (Story City) in three sets. Scores were 12-25, 10-25, 18-25. and Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams fell to 11-13 overall and 4-3 in the conference. The Norsemen, ranked number 13 in Class 3A by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, are now 23-2 and they finished 8-0 in HOAIC matches.

The Rams had only brief small leads on the night with R-S in control the great majority of the time. Set two was tied 6-6 before the Norsemen scored 19 of the final 23 points. The third set was tied 10-10 and the Rams were close at 15-17, then an 8-3 R-S run finished the night.

The Rams close out HOIAC matches this Thursday vs. PCM (Monroe) in Jefferson.
