There is a current Iowa Department of Transportation project going on in western Greene County.

Jefferson Resident Construction Engineer with DOT Jenny Hoskins tells Raccoon Valley Radio crews with K & M Enterprise LLC, of Shell Rock, have been repairing a drainage tile on Iowa Highway 25 between County Roads E-53 and E-57 since October 7th. Hoskins says their DOT maintenance crews have tried a couple of times to make repairs, but they were not able to dig as deeply as they needed to, to do the work.

While work continues in the area, Hoskins notes that there are temporary traffic signals for traffic to alternate using the northbound lane. She adds that the project costs $57,038.44 and it is expected to be completed by the end of October.
