The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs football team now sit at 1-6 after falling to the now 2-5 Glenwood Rams. This match up would be an emotional rollercoaster, with the lead changing four different times but the Mustangs would strike first in the first quarter with Lackland putting up a field goal for the Mustangs bringing the score to 3-0. The second quarter would be an emotional rollercoaster, with the Rams putting up two field goals to take a 6-3 lead, before the Mustangs would strike back with a touchdown to bring the score to 10-6. Before the end of the first half, the Rams would score again in the second quarter with a touchdown of their own to bring the score to 13-10.

Coming back from halftime, the Mustangs would be on a roll, notching in a touchdown to take the lead again with a 17-13 score. The momentum would shift back to the Rams in the fourth however, as they would notch in the final touchdown of the game resulting in a final score of 20-17.

The Mustangs are on the road next week as they travel to Winterset to take on the #14 Huskies. We’ll have coverage starting on KDLS2 at 6pm.
