It is official, Adair County Memorial Hospital will be reopening in the coming weeks.

According to Adair County Health Services, the hospital will resume full operations on October 21st, then celebrate with a grand reopening on November 6th. The announcement comes after the facility was severely damaged from the May 21st tornado in Greenfield.

This celebration will include a tour of the building, especially in the renovated areas of the facility. This will be an open house style event starting at 4:30pm, and ACHS Chief Executive Officer Cathrine Hillestad will be speaking at 5pm. According to hospital officials, they are excited to be returning after all the repairs and renovations, and they thank the community for all the support they’ve received since the tornado.
