Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Activities Director Rod Wiebers expresses his joy with the attendance from the 2024 Tigerfest event.

ADM’s annual Tigerfest outing was held this past Thursday in Adel, enjoying the Homecoming festivities. The community came out to support the Tigers engaging in family activities, speaking with student athletes, and playing games. Wiebers tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the amount of parents he witnesses on a daily basis backing their athletes is pretty surreal and it was on displayed throughout the annual event last Thursday.

“You see all the people that are out there celebrating the young kids that are around. You’ve got seniors that are signing posters for the kids and kids have a huge line for that. You’ve got all these vendors that come out to support, and then you move up to the (football) stadium and you’ve got a pep assembly for all of our teams and being able to recognize all of our fine arts that are going on in the fall, our athletic teams seven through 12, and they’re doing it in front of a packed stadium.”

Wiebers takes a moment to personally thank the student council for their unwavering commitment to bring the event to life and the grounds department that worked tirelessly to make sure the areas were clean. Wiebers believes Tiger fans are amongst the best in the state of Iowa.
