The Perry football team started the year 2-1.  The Bluejays have dropped their last three contest including last Friday’s contest 49-7 against Harlan Community.  Slow starts have been one of the major problems for Perry.  Since the start of week 2, the Bluejays have only scored 13 first half points and during the three game losing skid that haven’t reached the end zone in the first 2 quarters.  Coach Vannornam on the slow starts.  “Years past has been more of a first half team and now we’ve come more to try to put four quarters together.  That’s come for preaching as a coaching staff is to get all four quarters together, but starting hot is kind of been my message since week one if we can start hot I think we’re going to finish the way you want to finish.”

Perry will look to start hot Friday night when Atlantic comes to Dewey Field.  The Bluejays will recognize this year’s seniors in the final home game of the season.  Kickoff is set for 7:30P and the Perry Hy-Vee Pregame Show will start at 6:30P on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network and KDLS.
