The Stuart Public Library is ready for a fun event about the volunteers that help them out.

Librarian Rachel Majerus says that the week of October 20th through the 26th is Friends of the Library Appreciation Week. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what this means for their event on October 21st for the Stuart People Active for Library Service (PALS).

“This is where the library gets to honor our volunteers and those that have contributed so much to our library programming. So the librarians at the Stuart Library will be hosting a friends of the library PALS appreciation luncheon at noon that day. So we encourage anybody who is a PALS member to come on out and get a free meal on us.”

Majerus mentions that there are many fun events that the PALS help out with, and that there wouldn’t be as many that would be available if they didn’t have that help.
