The Greene County High School Marching Rams are heading to their only competition of the year this Saturday.

Band Director Wes Anderson says they are going to compete in the 67th Annual Carroll Band Day. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that while the marching band has been practicing exclusively on their field show, they have implemented more parade-style technique and surprises for everyone that attends Carroll Band Day.

Anderson points out that since this competition has been the longest standing event the band has done, next to the large group festival for concert band, they wanted to come back again this year with the goal of doing better than they did last year and take first place in Class 2A. He invites community members to attend as the Marching Rams are the 23rd parade entry and it starts at 10:30am on Saturday.
