The Leon Fox Coed Invite is tonight at the Perry Golf and Country Club. This is the only time this season Perry will host a cross country meet. The thought of the home competition has numerous members of the team feeling different. Edwyrd Steil, a freshman, is nervous before his first race at home. “It’s a bit more nerve-wracking because it’s going to be a lot of people I know.” Ezra Farmer, a sophomore, is hoping to put on a good show for the Perry fans that attend. “Yeah, it’s definitely where I’m hoping to do my best.”
The meet is set to start at 4:50P for the boys and 5:15P for the girls. New this year will be a shuttle going from the high school to the golf course as Perry hopes to eliminate the traffic by the country club. The event is cash only and $5 to attend.
