Perry football returns to Dewey Field this Friday night.  The 2-3 Bluejays will look for their first win in District play against Harlan Community.  The Cyclones also come into this matchup 2-3 and searching for their first District win.  The similarities continue as both teams are currently on a two game losing skid.  Perry fell to Nevada last Friday 55-0 while Harlan lost a nail biter to Creston 43-42. These two plus Knoxville currently sit in a three-way tie at the bottom of 3A District 6.

The Bluejay offense will look to rebound after mustering just 103 yards against Nevada and being shut out.  Perry may be able to find some success against Harlan on offense.  The Cyclone defense has struggled for a good chunk of the season as they are surrendering 29 points a game.  Harlan loves to pass the ball.  Gabe Arkfeld has thrown for 941 yards to start the year.  The junior’s favorite target is Jozef Reisz, who has accounted for almost half of the receiving yards.  The Bluejay defense will be test once again on Friday.
