An important deadline for 4-H members is nearly here.

Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that the record books for each member is an important part of their experience. She mentions that it is where all of the materials and write ups from the previous year are gathered to showcase the projects they worked on. Savage explains that by getting their record books turned in, it allows members to be eligible for different awards at the Adair County 4-H Awards Night. Record books need to be turned in by the end of the day on October 1st. Savage adds that the Adair County Extension Office is closed Monday, but that they have a drop off for any record books next door at Brocker, Karns and Karns.
