The last farmer’s market for the summer in Perry wrapped up on Thursday, as it was another memorable period.

Perry’s Farmer’s Market has been a staple in the downtown area for most of the summer, supplying fresh produce for residents. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti comments that she’s happy with the amount of people that stopped out as well as the businesses that participated. She admits that although it is a lot of work on a weekly basis, she is sad to see it go for the summer.

“We’ll definitely miss it. We’ll definitely miss the vendors and seeing the customers every week, and just the community aspect of it.”

However, Pasutti acknowledges that there will be one final fall market coming up on Saturday, October 12th, as she proposes the produce that will be there.

“Lots of pumpkins and squash, things that will carry over nicely. The fresh eggs, and things like that.”

Pasutti highlights that the fall farmer’s market will be held at the McCreary Community Building, 1800 Pattee Street, in Perry from 10am-2pm.
