A private family celebration of life for Michael John Olson, 58, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Jefferson, will be held at a later date.

To honor Michael’s memory, donations may be made to the VFW Post 9599, Greene County Animal Shelter, or Food Bank of Iowa.

Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home, in Jefferson is assisting the family.

Surviving family members are: Erik Olson (Michelle) of Wichita, KS; Barb Lewis (David) of Prior Lake, MN; Mary Paup (Dennis) of Glidden, IA; Betsy Hunt of Las Vegas, NV; Chris Olson (Sheila) of West Des Moines, IA; Teresa Devilbiss (Kevin) of Jefferson, IA; Karl Olson (Linda) of Olathe, KS; Pattee Yetmar of Fort Dodge, IA; Kathy Bravard (Mike) of Jefferson, IA; seven nieces, eight nephews, and twelve great nieces and nine great nephews.
