The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Cross Country teams ran extremely well on Tuesday in Newton, with the Tigers notching top two spots in their respective races.

The girls scored 29 total points to win first place over Newton, Ames, Atlantic, Dallas Center-Grimes, Grinnell, and Marshalltown. Individual performances included Freshman Elliotte Von Roden finishing in second overall with a time of 20:40 in the 5K (3.1 miles). Sophomore Allie Eggleston was behind in third (21:14), Senior Ella Goodrich tallied sixth (21:50), Sophomore Addy Bjork was seventh (21:55), Senior Evelyn Horgen (22:56), Senior Mackealin Sutton (22:58), and Sophomore Cora Shirley-Brown (23:01) marked places 11-13.

On the boys side, ADM acquired 63 points for a second place mark behind Marshalltown. Senior Torin Timmerman led the Tigers with a time of 17:30 for a sixth place finish. Sophomore Max Marple captured 10th place (17:56), with Freshman Dain Holdmeyer in 12th (17:58), Junior Nick Subbert in 14th (18:08), Junior Ty Landphair finished in 21st place (18:20), and Senior Shay Holdmeyer was inside the top 30 (29th place at 18:37).

ADM is now off until this coming Tuesday, October 1st where they will travel to Williamsburg.
