A grand opening and ribbon cutting is scheduled for tomorrow for a new business in downtown Jefferson.
The Courtyard Wedding and Events Center is located at 214 East State Street, across the alleyway from the Sierra Community Theatre, and the grand opening is from 9am-5pm, with the ribbon cutting at 10am. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says this business has lots of phenomenal features and has been impressed with the transformation of a previous empty building, by co-owners Greg Hacker and Shirley Synder.
“Gosh, they have done a tremendous job of remodeling, and the personal investment, and a little bit of partnership with the city as well, and Main Street (Iowa). But man, they’ve put a lot of money and time into that, and a lot of love, a lot of love has gone into this building.”
Wetrich acknowledges the exterior brickwork by masoner Mark Devilbliss and his crew, along with the co-owner Greg Hacker highlights the other outside parts with his landscaping knowledge from his small business, along with the other co-owner Shirley Snyder lending her expertise in several other areas. Wetrich thinks this is a great addition to the downtown square and sees lots of other local business partnerships coming together for different events in the future.
