Students, teachers and administrators have gotten into the swing of things at Adair – Casey Elementary and AC/GC Junior High.

Principal Ed Den Beste says they started off with a few short weeks due to the Guthrie County Fair and Labor Day, with the first full week coming in the second week of September. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that things have been going well though, and that he’s looking forward to the rest of the year, especially having a chance to talk with parents at the upcoming parent teacher conferences in October.

“We’re definitely looking at things going on. We’re talking about kids. How do we intervene when they’re having troubles and things like that. How do we keep moving them forward, and then what else do we do for our kids that are excelling? How do we help them?”

Den Beste mentions that these will be goals that they continue to work on throughout the year, along with making sure that the students have a safe learning environment.
