Tomorrow is the start of festivities for a big event sponsored by the Stuart Revitalization Group.

Group member Russ Wagner says they are holding their annual Best of the Block BBQ Cook-Off, with teams checking in and getting started cooking tomorrow at 5pm. He mentions that a free will donation chili feed begins at 6pm, and there will be live music throughout the night. Wagner tells Raccoon Valley Radio that things really get started on Saturday, as there will be a vendor fair from 10am to 3pm, and plenty of things for all in the community to take part in.

“We’ve got a face painter, a balloon person, we’ll have a dunk tank, we’ll have some games for them to participate in. It is a family friendly event. We start taking the meat for judging at 3pm, and we do 3pm, 3:30, 4pm and 4:30, then we do awards at 5pm.”

Wagner explains that there will also be a bike night from 5-10pm, with a pie auction at 5:30pm, and a free will donation BBQ Meat Fest to begin at 6pm. He adds that there will also be a live band to finish off the night, with the performance starting at 7pm.
