A reminder that tomorrow is Homecoming Friday for the Greene County School District.

Student Council member Kamden Kinne says the Homecoming parade will be at 2pm, starting at the middle school and heading north on Chestnut Street to the downtown square. Then at 2:45pm will be a community pep rally before the coronation ceremony at 3pm, on the south plaza of the Greene County Courthouse grounds. The king candidates include Lane Fields, Kamden Kinne, Noah Hinote, Jacob Harmeyer, and Nick Stream. The queen candidates are Violet Reedy, Hailey Carman, Sadie Shannon, Rylyn Sigler, Randa Linberg

Student Council member Sadie Shannon says planning for this year’s Homecoming Week started the Tuesday before the school year got underway. She describes her favorite part of planning for this annual event.

“I think my favorite is it’s just such an exciting week and so many students can be involved. Kamden (Kinne) and I being leaders and upper classmen, it’s kind of exciting to be able to lead a group and help plan things more.”

The Homecoming Court will also be introduced at Linduska Field tomorrow night at 6:30pm before the varsity football team takes on Saydel. The broadcast can be heard on KGRA 98.9FM with coverage prior to kickoff at 7pm.
