“I feel pretty honored that they chose me and felt that I deserved to be on here.”

Lavoy’s sentiment was repeated by the other nine members of the court. Fellow queen candidate Shyann Young shares what she’s looking forward to with the remaining celebrations for the week.

“I’m excited to cheer our football boys on Friday night, and I’m also excited to play Powderpuff and hopefully beat the rest of the teams.”

The other members of the court are also excited for the game Friday night, along with the Powderpuff and Ironman games as well. King candidate Eli Madsen shared what he’s looking forward to with the rest of the year.

“I’m looking forward to graduating, and playing the rest of sports throughout my year, and hanging out with friends.”

All ten candidates realize that this is their last year to enjoy high school, and they want to take the time to enjoy playing sports or participating in other activities, spend time with their friends, and soak in their last year before graduation. They all are also looking forward to graduation itself. Coronation takes place on Friday during halftime of the Homecoming game against the South Central Calhoun Titans.
