Greene County lost to South Central Calhoun (Lake City) and defeated Panorama in the first home matches of the volleyball season after the Rams had played 13 matches and 29 sets on the road. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s team is 7-8 overall in matches and 17-17 in sets. After a 25-21 win in set one vs. the Titans, the Rams lost 16-25, 12-15. Against the Panthers, the Rams won in straight sets, 25-14, 25-14.

Set one vs. SCC saw the Rams lead 21-11 before the Titans closed to within a single point at 22-21. The Rams closed it out to win by four points, but after that the Titans took over and scored 40 points to 28 for the Rams combined in sets two and three.

In the last action of the night, the Rams jumped out to a 14-1 first set lead before the Panthers got to within 17-12, but they would get no closer. Greene County had a 13-7 lead in set two, and again the Panthers made a run three points at 26-13 was as close as the set would get.
