The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football Coach Doug Winkowitsch is witnessing a lot of positives from his Senior Quarterback Hudson Shull early on.

Shull has been a dynamic quarterback for the Tigers through the first three games, by having the ability to throw deep with his arm, or rattle defenses with his legs. Coach Winkowitsch comments that Shull has a good arm, in terms of throwing the ball, but also how he can make necessary plays with his legs. He explains that Shull’s running ability opens up the ADM offense for passing purposes.

“To run the ball and keep people honest, but also the ability to throw it when we want to, and I think that’s the key is throw it when we want to, not when we have to. He’s done a really nice job, I think he just continues to improve and he’s starting to really understand the defense and making key reads, and when things bust down, he’s able to still get us some positive yards.”

Through the first three games of the 2024 season, Shull is 33/61 with 476 passing yards and four touchdowns. He’s also rushed for 217 yards and scored three touchdowns on the ground. The Tigers are 2-1 on the year and will travel to Norwalk High School Friday night for a 7:30pm game. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the coverage on K107.9 KKRF, beginning at 6:30pm.
