The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Cross Country teams contributed strong performances in the fourth meet of the season in Ballard on Monday.
The Tiger girls began the evening off by placing second out of nine teams, receiving 66 points. The top three runners from the girls squad in the 5K included Freshman Elliote Von Roden, who ran 20:54 for a fifth place finish, Sophomore Allie Eggleston was 11th overall at 21:39, and Senior Ella Goodrich marked right behind in 12th at 21:41.
The boys race followed approximately about an hour after the girls, with the Tigers winning first place, capturing 41 total points in front of Bondurant-Farrar (52) and North Polk (96). From the boys, the top three runners were Senior Torin Timmerman, who was second overall at 17:30, Junior Ty Landphair ran a 18:02, finishing in seventh overall, and Sophomore Max Marple came in at 18:11, who made it inside the top 10, garnering ninth place.
Both ADM teams will have the next couple of days off before heading up to Minnesota for the Roy Griak Meet on the Lee Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights on Friday. The full results from the Ballard-Mike Carr XC Invite can be found below.
