The Adel Aquatic Center is shining their facility up after concluding the 2024 season.
According to Adel Aquatics Supervisor Ramona Dillinger, the pool closed on August 11th for the year. She highlights that it was a great period as many kids and families came out to enjoy the nice summer weather. Dillinger tells Raccoon Valley Radio that city employees began polishing the facility soon after shutting down for the season.
“They started the cleaning process of the basin, which is a high-powered power washing, 5,000 PSI, on the 16th of August.”
Dillinger says that the cleaning wrapped up on August 19th, then the painting began the next day and finished on the 24th. She explains that the repainting is completed every four years to give the pool a fresh look. Dillinger is anticipating the 2025 season, which is tentatively set to open on Memorial Day Weekend.
