Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks provides an update with the school’s custodial funds relating to the January 4th shooting.

Following the devastating tragedy on the first day back from winter break, a school recovery fund was set up to fundraise money for the victims of the shooting. Wicks tells Raccoon Valley Radio that three individuals were appointed as administrators to handle the funds; Joe Shelly, Donna Emmert, and Lou Hoger.

“A huge thank you to those three people that stepped up and they have since concluded their work with the custodial fund, and have distributed the funds accordingly.”

According to Hoger, a total of $160,000 has been given to 20 families in Perry that were affected from the horrific events. Three people lost their lives as a result of the shooting on January 4th, including the shooter, 11-year-old Ahmir Jolliff, and Perry High School Principal Dan Marburger.
