Week 3 of the high school football season is upon us.  The Bluejays will be in Ogden tonight to take on the Bulldogs.  Perry is a significantly larger school than Ogden.  Based off of last year’s classifications, Perry had 444 beds compared to 186 at Ogden.  The Bluejays play in a 3A District versus 1A for the Bulldogs.  Despite being smaller, Ogden has won the last three matchups with Perry.  The Bluejays will look to end that streak tonight.  Perry is 1-1 this season, but are coming off a 36-7 loss to Greene County.  Ogden comes into this matchup 0-2 and lost to Manson- NW Webster 20-8.

Coach Vannornam and the boys are excited to get back out on the field after their first loss. “My message this week is who is going to bring the juice.”  He elaborated on who he thought that might be.  “Geren has really stepped up into his vocal leadership skills this week which has been crazy to see.  I kinda praised him yesterday at practice.  Jorge Ramirez he’s a guy that can bring the juice.  I think he’ll bring it this week.  He’s a guy that loves playing football.”

Kickoff is set for 7P with KDLS and the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network coverage starting at 6P with the Perry Hy-Vee Pregame Show.
