The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football team exploded offensively in their second game, much to the delight of Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch.

Winkowitsch is off to a 2-0 start in his short career at ADM, as the Tigers won their opening game in Adel against Newton 13-8 and pulled away from Raccoon River Conference rival Winterset 31-9 this past Friday. In the Winterset game, in particular, ADM used multiple running backs of Talon Harvey, Jon Hatchitt, and Cameron Forgy, who together rushed for over 130 yards. Winkowitsch rejoices in having several players that can come into the game and contribute immediately.

“It’s nice to have that depth, you can rotate some guys in. We’ve got guys that are playing a little bit of both ways. To keep those guys as fresh as we possibly can and to rotate three to four running backs in their and really feel like we don’t drop off much is a huge thing for us, especially with our two-way players.”

The Tigers will hit the road for the first time this season tomorrow as they travel all the way to Council Bluffs for a matchup against the reigning Class 4A State Champion Lewis Central at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will have the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, beginning at 6pm.
