
Photos belong to the ADM Girls XC Team
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Cross Country team ran well in their second meet of the season.
The Tigers ran in Pella Saturday morning at Central College for the Dutch Invitational, picking up a third place finish. ADM scored 96 points as a team, ahead of Lynnville-Sully, Pella Christian, English Valley, Oskaloosa, and Collins-Maxwell. The Tigers finished behind Pella, who captured first place and Gilbert in second. ADM’s Freshman Elliotte Von Roden was inside the top 10 garnering eighth overall, running exactly 20 minutes for the 5K (3.1 miles). Sophomore Allie Eggleston finished 14th (20:40), Senior Ella Goodrich was 16th (21:10), and Sophomore Cora Shirley-Brown ran to a 21st place finish (21:43).
The Tigers have tallied a second place finish in the first meet in Johnston, and follow it up with a third place mark in Pella. ADM will be in action again this Thursday as they travel to Iowa State University in Ames. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:25pm. For the full results from the Dutch Invite, click here.
