The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board also approved a change order in the amount of $25,728,625 and a pay application for $1,261,295.79 relating to the new administration building in Adel. Turner Construction presented the board with an update saying that the lobby area is close to completion with furniture scheduled to be placed inside starting September 16th.
Other items on the agenda that were approved at Tuesday’s meeting was a vehicle request for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, a resolution for an operating transfer from the Cross Region sub fund to the Heart of Iowa fund for $126,438.94 and additional transfer in the amount of $1,000,000 from the general basic fund to the capital fund, and a resolution for a sheriff’s deputy appointment was also approved as presented.
A couple of items were tabled for further discussion, including a bond referendum for the new criminal court building in Adel and a request from the City of West Des Moines to include a county owned right of way in Coachlight Urban Renewal Area. The board held a City of Dawson P-46 Project Workshop and a Drainage District Trustees meeting.
