Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Sophomore Allie Eggleston loves the togetherness that’s displayed in cross country.

The Tigers ran in the first meet for the 2024 season in Johnston over the weekend, where ADM tallied 85 points for a second place finish. Eggleston finished second on the team and 14th overall in the 5K with a time of 21:20. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that being around others is one her favorite aspects.

“Just the people, they’re so amazing, they’re so motivating, and it’s so fun just to have somebody.”

Eggleston’s personal goal is to run below 19 minutes in the 5K. The Tigers will have the rest of the week to prepare for their second meet of the season on Saturday in Pella at Central College at 9am.
